Charles K. Callari, Director
Charlie is a business executive with over 25 years of experience in marketing, sales and technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Manhattan College in Management Information Systems and Computer Science.
Charlie has worked for companies such as IBM, Remedy, and SYKES Enterprises, and he is currently a Vice President of Customer Solutions at Aumtech working in the Artificial Intelligence market. He was introduced to Happiness Is Camping back in 1988 through IBM’s community service program.
Charlie volunteered as a counselor for two years and was asked by Chris Campbell, HIC’s first Camp Director, to be the Assistant Camp Director for the summer of 1990. Charlie accepted and took a five month sabbatical from IBM to truly become part of the HIC family.
He reconnected with camp during the summer of 2015 and is now member of the Board of Directors. Charlie’s wife Linda also volunteered at HIC in the summer of 1991, and they currently reside in Morganville, NJ with their three sons Michael, Stephen and Kevin.
Charlie has also volunteered his time for the past six years as a youth baseball coach at a local Catholic grammar school, is a Board Member for Covenant House, Asbury Park, NJ, and has also volunteered his time with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
