Laurie Malia

Laurie Malia is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician at Columbia University Medical Center, New York Presbyterian where she is the Medical Director of Electronic Health Record Integration and the Assistant Director of Clinical Informatics. Her research focuses on point-of-care ultrasound to enhance the care of children in everyday practice.

She began working at camp in 2004 as a counselor, took a brief hiatus during her medical training, and has since returned volunteering as a camp physician. To this day some of her closest friendships have stemmed from camp and she hopes every child can have a similar experience. She proudly owns a shirt from 1980, the first year of camp.

Laurie lives in the Upper West Side, NY with her wife Kait, who happens to be a pediatric oncologist.
