Thomas R. Whelan, C.P.A., Director
Tom is a CPA with an accounting practice in Darien, Connecticut. He has been the sole business owner for 23 years. Tom lives in Westport, CT with his wife and two sons.
Tom graduated from Alfred University and grew up in Syracuse, NY. For the past 10 years, Tom has coached basketball and lacrosse at Staples High School in Westport. He also volunteers as a youth baseball coach in Westport.
Fun fact: he was one of the coaches for Westport that took the boys to 2013 Little League World series in Williamsport, PA – finishing 2nd in the U.S. and 4th in the world. Tom serves as the Treasurer for a Golf Association in Westport and his Interests include golf and travel.
Tom was a HIC volunteer for 15 years (1990-2005) and has recently re-engaged by joining the Board.
